MVM Works

The Maker

Built on craft. Guided by precision.

MVM Works is a one-man operation in central Virginia. Every firearm that comes through the door is handled personally, no delegation, no shortcuts.

Philosophy

A firearm is a mechanical object deserving of serious attention.

The work here is not production. It is not volume. It is the careful application of knowledge, patience, and hand skill to a single firearm at a time. Whether the job is a worn extractor or a custom build, the standard does not change. Function first. Fit second. Finish third. In that order, without exception.

Background

01

Classical foundations

Trained on the platforms that defined American gunsmithing — the 1911, the lever-action, the over-under. An understanding of how these firearms were designed, why they work, and how they fail informs every job regardless of the platform on the bench.

02

Modern precision

Equally at home with contemporary defensive and precision platforms. Trigger work, optic mounting, barrel threading, action tuning, applied with the same deliberate hand and attention to detail.

03

Custom manufacture

Parts-kit builds and ground-up custom firearms. Component selection, fitting, timing, and final function testing handled in-house from start to delivery.

04

Sourcing and transfers

With an established B2B network and a passion for research and sourcing, MVM Works tracks down discontinued models, rare variants, and hard-to-find configurations. If it exists, it can be found.

The Approach

By appointment. One client at a time.

There's no line to stand in, no ticket number, no queue. Whether you're dropping off a firearm for service or making a new purchase, appointments are arranged directly, by email or text, so from the first message you're talking to the person who will actually do the work. Every appointment gets a dedicated block of time and full attention while it's on the bench. The conversation starts with what you need and what the firearm requires. Not always the same thing.
